White Memorial Hospital!

The garden is a 300' x 150' plot of land that has been accessible since 1996. Residents of the area are welcomed to use the land to grow fruits, vegetables and other food items for personal consumption. Currently approximately 50 families avail themselves of the land for this purpose.

Keeping alive the PreColumbian tradition of the "Tianguis," el Proyecto Jardín sponsors a monthly marketplace known as el "Mercado Caracol" where local artists and merchants who produce their own wares are invited to the garden to sell their merchandise. This is yet another welcomed initiative by White Memorial to empower local merchants to reach out to a wider market and sustain their businesses.
